Ebay item 10/16/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Jaguar-XJ6-/142540669750
Current bid US $2,509.90 reserve not met 4 bids 6 days left in auction, seller pekingduck, 61k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a very nice and rare example of an early Jaguar XJ6, with the original 4.2 liter DOHC six. Series 1 cars are the last Jaguars to combine modern performance and elegant classic style with lots of chrome, real burl wood, and yards of leather. This car looks and runs great.

The windshield, side and rear window seals were replaced when the car was painted in 2007. Inside, the seats were recovered in leather, the headliner, door panels, windlace and door seals were replaced. The dashboard and door top wood was refinished. European 7" headlights were installed.

Within the last 10k miles, the power steering rack and front suspension were rebuilt, the alternator and air conditioning compressor, mufflers, rear wheel bearings and brake pads were replaced. The compression read 145 psi across all cylinders. All 5 tires were replaced this year (Uniroyal Tiger Paws).

The car has been garaged for the last 3 years, started and driven monthly. Previous owners were also in Southern California. The radio does not work, and the carpets are worn. The personalized legacy plate is not part of the sale. It is licensed and currently registered to me.

The car has been covered and stored inside for the last 3 years, started and driven monthly.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
