Reluctant sale of this super nice XJ6. I bought this car almost 2 years ago and still not had the time to use it. It came from the family of its deceased owner, so i have no history but it has had a fortune spent on it to make it look as good as it does. These cars are very under rated and fast becoming very collectible. Not only does it look stunning, she drive great to, she is fast and smooth with the best color combination, original colors.
The body is rust, scratch and dent free, has a nice deep shine from the base clear coat paint job, the door shuts are clean and fitted with new seals, no rust underside that i can see.
The chrome is nice and the bumpers have been rechromed.
The sundym glass is very good and a new top tint windshield has been fitted.
The mechanics are excellent, nice engine with no noises, shifts nice with good brakes, has been fitted with Weber carbs.I have just had the carbs adjusted and oil and filter changed.
The gas tanks where cleaned when i first bought the car and both worked great but now one has a small leak i think from the drain plug gasket, so i have disconnected that tank for now.
The interior is superb, its all new correct Jaguar, seats, carpet, door panels, windlace. The wood is very nice, head liner is a bit saggy but easy fix on these cars.Original radio cassette player that works great.
Trunk is nice with tools and spare wheel.
The miles have turned over i am sure but the speedo is not working and the A/C will need a charge. Tires are new.
I am sure i have missed lots but it is a very nice restored SWB 4.2 XJ6. This is not a new car but a very nice example of a 47 year old car.

Rare beauty - 1970 Jaguar XJ6 series 1 Short wheel base totally rust free! New chrome, newer red interior, brakes and tires. Plus all new windshield and door seals - does not leak oil nor smoke! Mileage shows 24,464 and condition represents low mileage. Originally in Maryland, older Jaguar enthusiast purchased and had it in Texas. Age and health forced him to sell. Car is pretty remarkable for being 47 years old. Solid investment as these cars especially series 1 short wheel base Jags with chrome bumpers are rare plus this car has hand crank windows, mirrors on front fenders! $12,500 B/O Runs and drives very nicely. Great car to enjoy especially having the 4.2 liter engine.
