Ebay item 6/13/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Jaguar-XJ-6-Regency-Red-S-W-B-Left-Hand-Drive-/2207 ...
Opening bid $3,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1972 JAGUAR XJ-6.
Having covered only 53,200 miles and being a VERY early production number with the short or standard wheelbase, this Motor Car is one of only a few examples left. British Leyland decided to offer only the Long Wheelbase version to all world markets as standard. After that, the S.W.B. was a special order and very few were ever made after that.
This vehicle is finished in Regency Red, with Biscuit Hide upholstery.
The headlining in particular, is in superb condition, as are the wood door cappings, which often have deteriorated badly in the United States.
The leather is in original paternated, excellent condition, as are the carpets.
This Jaguar is fitted with five Factory Chrome Wheels, which are very rare these days.
The condition of the body work is fresh and overall, very good. However, there are some issues that will need attention.
There are areas of rust that will need some work, but are not all that serious, but will need looking at.
1. Front fender edge.
2. The rocker panels have some small holes that will need repair.
3. There is a small chip on one rear door.
4. A small chip and indentation on the trunk lid.
The chrome is in fantastic condition and has a deep shine. No need for any re-chroming at all!!
It is fitted also with United States Specification Green tinted glass that was available as an option at the time.
With a small amount of work, this will be a Jaguar Club contender, I am sure.
Worthy noting is the full original handbook package with all the servicing records. Also include are the supplying diagrams and the Initial Press Reviews, all highlighted in a VERY comprehensive book.
