Enter Data About an Jaguar & Daimler XJ Series 1, 2 & 3
Fill in the car number (VIN in modern parlance) in the box below and click "submit."
Early XJ sedans had an old style car number: Two characters followed by a four or five-digit number, sometimes ending in "BW", and often prefaced with a two letter code beginning with "U". Example: UH1T50001BW. After 1978, Jaguar adopted VIN numbers, at first a 14-digit number, later a 17-digit number, like all modern cars have. On North American models, that number can be found in the lower windscreen on the driver's side. On all models, there is a number stamped on the firewall. This number may be different on North American cars from the windshield VIN; either will work.
